We are now open for Literature submissions
Every we we publish a selection of poetry, short stories, as well as non-fiction and reviews. Please only send previously unpublished work.
We publish high quality work from writers of all nationalities. We are also particularly interested in submissions from teens.
What We Want
Poems: All quality poems will be considered. We are however very unlikely to publish haikus.
Short stories: Right now we are considering stories of under 10000 words on any theme.
Translations: We are accepting translations of poetry and fiction from around the world. Please make sure that you have permission from the author to publish their work.
All submissions should include a short third-person biography of no more than one hundred words and a short cover letter. Please submit no more than 6 poems or 2 short stories in your submission.
To get an idea of what we're looking for, please check out our current edition and archives.
Response Time
Please allow anywhere from two days to three months to hear a response as to whether or not we have chosen to publish your piece. Due to the high volume of submissions that we now receive, at busy periods, the response time could be up to one month. If you do not hear from us within one month it is likely that your email was hijacked so please resend it.
Payment
Currently we cannot afford to pay you, but this is a good opportunity for you to get publishing credit with an editorial that has a growing reputation for quality works.
We pride ourselves on being more that just a magazine and once you have had work published with us you become part of the TWI's community. We always try to help TWI's writers in the promotion of their literary projects through our facebook and twitter feeds. We are always open to other ideas for collaboration too!
Rights:
We will acquire first time publishing rights, and all the other rights will revert back to the author or poet once published on our website though we do ask you to acknowledge Teen's Weekly Insider. All works remain on our website or in our archive.
Submit:
Please submit your work for consideration to Martin Chan at [email protected] (along with contact information)
We are looking forward very much to hearing from you!
