1. What are the projects that you are currently working on? I have just finished filming The Kid Detective with Adam Brody and have a few things in the works that I am not able to talk about quite yet. 2. What do you feel is your biggest achievement so far? I am proud of everything I have done so far. It has been a lot of hard work. I am always pushing myself because I want to work with my role models so badly. 3. What leisure activities do you do when you’re notworking? I like to go to the gym and take my dog Bron for walks. I have also just started boxing, it’s a great work out. I play lots of basketball. 4. How would you describe your character in Riverdale? My character’s name in Riverdale is “Louie”. I don’t think he is a bad guy but he is always up to making extra money and it can get him into trouble. 5. Why and when did you decide to begin your career as a professional actor? Movies have always been a big deal in my home. The love for movies made me want to actually be on the screen. 6. How would you describe your acting style? Who would you consider your biggest inspiration? I’m not sure how to describe what style I have. I just try my best to create the character as it is written and develop it as I imagine the character to be. There are too many to name but a couple would be Leonardo DiCaprio and Natalie Portman. 7. Just a little bit curious- would you like to share how a typical audition goes with our readers? How do you prepare for it? I read the script many times and do research on what may be available. I then work with my acting coaches to prepare. I go to the audition and read for the casting director or casting assistant and then I wait to hopefully hear back from my agent. 8. Do you think TV channels will be taken over by streaming platforms in the near future? Why or why not? No, I think TV will always have a place in the world because current events and local information are necessary for everyday life. Streaming platforms, for me right now are when I get to relax and I can watch random things or binge a good season or two of my favorite series. There will always be a place for everything as they all keep evolving to keep up with the times. 9. Would you also like to share your latest project, The Kid Detective, with us? What is it about? What do you think is the similarities & differences between it & other child-centered movies? I can’t talk too much about it but it has a lot of adult humor. I can say that my character is “Goth" and I can say I got my butt kicked by Adam from the O.C. LOL! 10. Would you please tell us any thoughts about your future career? Or do you simply want to pursue your career as an actor? At the moment all my efforts are geared towards acting. I can always go to college later in my life to further my education. At the moment I am chasing my dream. 11. Any fun moment with the “Riverdale” cast? Yes. It was fun getting thrown up against the locker by Camille Mendez. LOL! 12. Any message or words to your supporters? Yes. Thank you all for those of you who are following me. I hope to never disappoint you and to keep on booking more and more work so you can follow me on my journey. 13. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? I love animals and I really am trying to be aware of my carbon footprint that I will leave behind on this Earth. I try to be eco-responsible and I recycle everything I can. 14. So many young actors are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I have volunteered for Paws for a Cause walks to raise awareness for the protection and prevention of cruelty to animals. I also walked to raise money for the cure for ALS. My aunt’s husband passed away at a young age from this so it is something that has affected me deeply. 15. Now for my last question: What do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in this industry? Be prepared to work incredibly hard. Train as often as you can and be open to learn and grow from the more experienced people around you. Please follow Marcus on Social Media: @Marcus_Zane

Photo Courtesy of Paul Smith 1. Would you like to share your latest projects with us? My team and I are excited for what’s next. That was the best part about knowing Season 5 was our final season. We were able to say goodbye to the characters we’ve loved and have been apart of for so long, therefore, we were able to have proper closure. It was so bittersweet, but I think all of us are looking forward to new projects and characters we get to dive into. I’ve also enjoyed traveling, being invited to do personal appearances for The Originals conventions all over the world, and connecting with the fans who have been the most amazing supporters of the show and to us as actors. 2. Would you like to tell us a little about yourself? I wasn’t always planning on being an actor. I was very involved in school and sports growing up, and was set to study architecture. I was presented with an opportunity to do a modeling job in Los Angeles and decided to move there. While working on print jobs, I also started booking commercials, so my agency suggested I look into acting. I signed up for an acting class and immediately fell in love with the craft. I decided that this is what I wanted to do and committed wholeheartedly. I am very grateful for my family and friends’ incredible support through the ups and downs and can say I finally found what I love to do. 3. What would you consider your biggest achievement so far? I try my best to be a positive role model in the industry. I hope viewers can relate to me & enjoy the characters I play. I want to inspire people to believe in themselves and love who they are. This career has given me a platform to have a voice and if I can affect even one person in a positive way, that is what I will be most proud of. I’ve also been able to connect with people in the LGBTQ community through playing Freya, who falls in love with a woman. I am proud to play a character who represents “love is love”, as you should always be proud of who you are. 4. Any ideas or thoughts about the series finale of The Originals? If I had to use a word to describe it, I would say bittersweet. We were happy with the way things ended and hope the fans are too. I don’t want to say too much as I want the fans to experience the finale in their own way. Even when a show ends, the character’s stories live on, Always and Forever (had to do it); that’s what’s great about film and television. 5. Freya has had quite a journey, since her first appearance on The Originals. How do you think she’s most grown, as, a character, and what have you most enjoyed about getting to explore that growth? All Freya ever wanted was to be apart of a family. She spent most of her life searching for her family and then when she finally finds them, was constantly battling to be accepted. Once she was accepted, she then put her family before everything, including herself. I think you will see her grow the most this season as she begins to realize she has to take care of herself too. She’s found love, but doesn’t always believe she deserves it and sometimes self-sabotages. She’s constantly having to decide between her happiness and protecting her family, and I think her biggest growth has been learning how to balance the two. I think a lot of people can relate to this. Freya’s story is a good reminder that we all deserve love and happiness and have to most importantly take care of ourselves. 6. How would you describe the relationship between Freya and her parents, Mikael & Esther? In your opinion, what does she think of her parents? While the rest of the family had their lifelong issues with Mikael and Esther, Freya only knew them as a small child. She remembered only the love her father had for her and the love she had for him. When Klaus kills their father it is devastating for her, as he was part of the family that she’s desired to have her whole life. We also get to see the love Mikael had for Freya, and her being taken away from him could have been a driving force in his rage against the rest of the family. As far as her mother, Freya felt a huge amount of resentment towards her for letting Dahlia take her away. She blamed Ester for the terrible childhood she endured from being raised by Dahlia. In the end, I think they were all able to see that their mother did love them and while she wronged them, it wasn’t always out of a lack of love for her children. She turned them into vampires and wanted to end what she had turned them into, but in the end they had to let her and Mikael go. 7. Growing up, do you believe in the existence of vampires? Why or why not? While I didn’t believe vampires were real, I’ve always loved fantasy and the idea of mythical creatures roaming the Earth. There is even a rumor in my family that we are related to Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) on our Romanian side! I think part of what I love about vampires in our show, is that if you take away the supernatural element, you are still left with people who are considered different and who are going through things we can all relate to. Fantasy aside, it’s about love and family. Having witches, werewolves and vampires allows us to escape into a different world and fall in love with these “monsters.” We see that they have feelings too. I like what that represents, as you never know what someone is going through. If we we just judge them from the outside we miss how much we can actually relate to them. 8. In your opinion, what are the things/ settings that set The Originals apart from other vampire-themed shows? We were so blessed to have the cast and crew we had and I think that was a huge part of what made our show what it was. All of the actors, writers and crew truly loved these characters and their stories. I also love how our show revolved around family and that it was easy to relate to a lot of the time. Each character had a different journey, and yet they always came together to protect Hope, an innocent child in it all. I think Hope represents hope itself and the betterment of the next generation. Our show didn’t focus on the fact that they were vampires, but more on the fact that they were a family. 9. What do you think are the similarities and differences between you and Freya? Why or why not? And how would you describe the character? I think Freya represents loyalty and strength. She would do anything for her family and I relate to her that way. She also struggles with accepting that she deserves love and happiness and I think that is a lesson we can all relate to. She’s definitely more fearless and ruthless then I would consider myself (haha) Fans of the show always say they didn’t expect me to be so “bubbly” in person since Freya is so intense (haha) She’s done a lot of things that I didn’t always agree with, but I think she always thought she was protecting her family. She had a terrible childhood and struggled learning how to control her magic, but through all of that she is able to help Hope with similar struggles and tries to teach her how to become better. 10. If you were the creator of the show, how would you conclude the show? I mean, how would you write the ending of the show? That they all live happily ever after of course! Haha, no. I think everything was concluded the way the characters would have wanted it to end, and that’s all I’m going to say. 11. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever had to do on The Originals? Probably coughing fake blood out of my mouth, nose and ears (haha). They use a really sweet corn syrup that is very thick and gets caught in your sinuses. We pour it in with my head held up right before and then when “action” is called you put your head down and it all comes pouring out! And then coughing a pool of it out of your mouth was pretty crazy! There is also a scene when I am buried alive and clawing at a coffin to get out. I had to scream and cry as loud as I could and being claustrophobic made it even more intense. I have to say I felt such a release after that scene though. I felt so calm and feel like it was almost therapeutic getting to scream as loud as you could. How often do we get to do that? Haha! 12. As part of the show, what do you think the viewers will be attracted to and love about The Originals? I think the fans love the idea of this powerful, beautiful, ruthless family who will do anything for each other, but will have pain and emotion and everyday struggles. You can relate to each of them in different ways. And who doesn’t love watching creatures with superpowers! I think everyone has a little bit of that fantasy inside of them. 13. If you were not an actress, what would you be up to now? I think I would be finishing up school for architecture. I was very interested in that industry. I went to Spain for my high school spring break and was blown away by the architecture there! I wanted to design custom homes with Spanish influence. I’m still interested in learning more about it and maybe designing my own house one day! 14. Any words/messages to your supporters? Thank you so much for all of your supports. You are what brought these characters to life and I will forever be grateful to you! Also, thank you for all of your supports in my career, you guys have given me so much love and motivation and speaking with you has affected my life more than you know! I love you all Always and Forever. 15. What’s the funniest, non-scripted thing that’s happened on the set of The Originals? It’s hard to pinpoint one thing, as we were always laughing on set. I am super clumsy and tripped a good amount of times, and have accidently said things like “Al Pacino” while trying to say a chant (HAHA) We will also sometimes try to make each other laugh during intense scenes by doing funny things with props or whispering silly things in each other’s ears. The blooper reels show a lot of those moments! 16. Now for my last question- what advice do you have for those who wish to pursue their careers in the industry? Perseverance. It’s one of those industries where no matter how hard you work or how talented you are, you aren’t guaranteed a job. It’s full of rejection and ups and downs, but if it is what you love, it is so worth it. Constantly try to grow as an actor and a person. Create as often as you can, whether it be through writing your own script, making a short film, playing music, painting something, etc. Be grateful for your opportunities, be professional, hardworking and kind. Don’t let the industry or anyone change who you are and know what you have to offer is different from every other person. Just know now at the end of the day it doesn’t define you as a person, it should be something you love to do. So have fun with it! Interview with Team Choey Member: Joey Birlem (born 2002): A social media influencer who establishes his name on the app Musical.ly, where nearly 2 million fans follows his account. He also has 1.2 million followers on Instagram and 150k subscribers on Youtube. He is also the founding member of Team Choey. Charles Gitnick (born 2002): As a young artist and internet sensation, He is popular on Instagram with 569k of followers, Snapchat, and other social media. But what made him really famous all over the world is his art - being a child, he creates anti-violence paintings and performances that made him a part of NY art scene and let him participate in different art exhibitions. He is the founding member of Team Choey. Chad Nazam: A sneaker collector who vlogs and showcases his sneakers on a self-titled Youtube channel to more than 150k subscribers. Founding member of Team Choey. 1. What are the projects that you are currently working on? Team Choey: We’re working on a lot of things: building our own merch store, touring basically every single city, and growing our own team. We always want to deliver the best contents to our fans. 2. What do you feel is your biggest achievement so far? Joey Birlem (JB): I would consider hitting 1 million followers my biggest achievement so far, as it is a really demanding process and takes me nearly 2 years to reach. Charles Gitnick (CG): Being able to have my works in a real art show and creating contents with my friends. Chad Nazam (CN): Following my dreams and growing my personal Youtube channel. 3. Besides making musical.ly videos, what are you passionate about? Team Choey: Traveling the world and meeting our supporters. We would never be where we are today without our fans, and therefore we always want to meet each one of them as many as possible. 4. What do you think is the difference between traditional stars (actor, actress etc.) and Internet Personality? Joey Birlem: An Internet personality is someone who can be self made from any location. An actor is typically a Hollywood produced celebrity. In my opinion, the Internet is completely taking over the world right now, and the “internet stars” are becoming real stars. Charles Gitnick: An internet celebrity is a kind of like a show personality who can emphasize things and express their feelings, while also being able to engage and interact with their audience more. Chad Nazam: I think the main difference between Internet stars and traditional stars is really where their talent is shared with other people. With the internet and social media people can put out videos and songs quicker than if it were a movie, tv show, or full album. I think because of this some people assume less work is involved, but that's definitely not the case! You have to have a drive that makes you work hard and accomplish your dreams whatever they are. 5. Why and when did you decide to begin your career as a professional muser? Joey Birlem: I started doing this social media two years ago, and then I met Charles. 6. Of all the people you have previously worked with, who do you think is the funniest? Joey Birlem: Definitely Chad! He is very loyal to the team. Charles Gitnick: The whole Choey team! We have the best manager, photographers and talents who’d work together to deliver the best contents to our fans. 7. As a teen, how do you strike a balance between your career and schoolwork? Joey Birlem: Well, we have different schooling systems so that it would be able to accommodate our travel schedules. Charles Gitnick: I go to a special school where I meet my teacher one on one for three hours every time I go there so that I’d be able to catch up with the schoolwork while being able to work on my projects. Chad Nazam: Since my school is located in West Virginia, every time I go back to my home I would pick up my books and homework to make sure that I don’t miss any schoolwork. 8. Would you please tell us what is the process of making a musical.ly video? I mean, how is a musical.ly lip made? Joey Birlem: You sing along to a music for 15 second and then record it. Charles Gitnick: It’s quite simple actually. Find a song you like, and record yourself dancing/ doing hand movements to it. Or, if it’s a comedy, try and be original. See what musically wants you to do for the comedy video, and try to make it as funny as possible. 2. Any idea or thoughts about season 4 of Fresh Off The Boat? I am so excited that Fresh Off the Boat was picked up for another season! I have just completed a couple of epidodes, and even though we are early in the season, I can tell you that there are already some twists and turns! 3. What do you feel is your favorite scene on Fresh Off The Boat? My favorite scene out of every single one that I have ever shot would be, when Trent (Trevor Larcom) burns his infamous Browns jacket. It was so hard not to laugh! 4. How would you describe your role on Fresh Off The Boat? What do you feel is the similarities and differences between you and Alison? Alison is a multitalented girl, who is full of love and joy! Alison and I both love school, we also both have a warm inviting personality that shapes her as a character. 5. How do you usually prepare for your role and audition? I always read the script first to get an idea of my surroundings and what my character and the other characters are like. I then start to memorize and perfect my sides that were given to me. If the role is person or period specific I try to do as much research as possible. 6. Who do you consider your biggest influence on acting? My biggest influence would be Angelina Jolie or Kate Winslet. They both have very similar qualities but they are almost polar opposites. I feel that these two women influence me the most from their dedication to their craft. It’s not every day that you can move an audience as big as they do. 7. Tell us about some of the charities that you are currently working on. I try to involve myself in as many charities as I can, most recently I have dedicated time to Read Across America which is a charity that promotes the importance of reading in kids. I never realized how important it is to be a part of something this impactful until I saw how much dedication and time people are willing to give. 8. How would you describe Alison’s relationship with Eddie? Alison and Eddie (or as our fans say “Edison”) are like the power couple of high school. We have so much fun together and I think when we translate that through our characters, the chemistry is really strong. Overall, it’s just like two best friends. 9. Any funniest moment with Hudson while on the set? Funniest moment, hands down, was when Hudson and I couldn’t stop laughing for a solid twenty minutes. We had the entire sound stage laughing over a topic that I can’t even remember what it was!! 10. Are you on any social networking sites? If so, which ones and what are their addresses? Do you have an official site and/or YouTube page? Instagram- @isabellaalexander Twitter/ musical.ly- @itsisabellaalex 11. You are an actress, but you are also a digital star. What do you feel is the difference between digital star and tradition star? Social Media and acting correlate in the aspect of casting, but I think that acting is a passion and social media is a way to get your name out there. I think it’s so cool to see people go really far with social media! 12. What’d you like to say to those who support you? Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love my fans and always love to hear from you. I hope you enjoy my work! 13. If you have the chance to choose any other stars at your age to be your classmate, whom would you like to? I would choose, the cast of Stranger Things, they seem like so much fun! Anyone who gives off positive vibes is always someone I want to be around! 14. As part of the show, what do you think the viewers will be attracted and loved about Fresh Off The Boat? I think if you love comedy and enjoy watching some of Hollywood’s most respected actors than you will instantly fall in love with Fresh Off the Boat! 15. What is your typical day like when you’re not working? It’s pretty much like any other teenager! When I am not in school, I love to travel. In fact, I got to visit London and Paris recently. During the school year and when I am not doing my schooling on set, I attend a regular high school. My day usually consists of getting up, eating a quick breakfast and finding a cute outfit for the day. After school I try to get homework done, do auditions and hopefully have a little time for family and friends. 16. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their acting careers? Never be afraid to follow your dreams and expect that there will be highs and lows along the way, but keep your eye on what you truly want. Take as many classes as you can and try new things like singing, playing an instrument, film making, or dancing. Read The Full Story on Issue 6 of Entertainment Teens (releasing this Mid-October): https://www.magzter.com/TW/Freshman-Press/Entertainment-Teens/Entertainment/ 1. What are the projects that you are currently working on?
Well, now that I am no longer on Nicky Ricky Dicky Dawn. I’m finally able to work on other projects that I couldn’t when I was on the show. But Nickelodeon and I made mutual agreement, so the show is continuing without me. I’m excited to share this news because it’s a whole new path for me and my supporters knowing that a lot of them loved me on the show. But currently I’m working on a lead role in a coming of age film for a Sundance Film submission, which is very exciting, but I never want to reveal what I’m working on because you’ll just have to see it on a screen! 2. What do you feel is your biggest achievement so far? Being happy, healthy, and doing what I love. 3. Why and when did you start your acting career? I started my acting career when I was 7 years old. I didn’t plan on it being a acting career either. I wanted to do stand up comedy. Like one of my main inspirations Dave Chappelle. He inspired me to come out to LA and try it. But I was only 7 so many comedy clubs only would allow older people in. So I ended up trying acting, which came natural for me, and I pursued it. 4. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? Well I love film photography, skateboarding and playing guitar. And hanging out with my family and friends. 5. What do you feel is your favorite episodes on NRDD. I don’t really watch my own show, and we’ve done so many I can’t recall. 6. So many young actors are committed to public service setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you? And what do you do to support them. I’m a compassionate person and I would rather do hands on work then show up to a red carpet for publicity. Like Akon who single handedly provided 660 million africans with solar power. I plan on doing something like that for third world countries and animals. 7. As a teen actor, how do you strike the balance between your career and school work. It’s not hard to balance because I do 3-5 hours of school work a day on different sets I work on. 8. If you were not a teen actor, what would you be up to now? I would be in the entertainment industry regardless as a director, DP or a writer or stand up comedy. 9. What is your typical day like when your not working? I do school work, skateboard, take photos, auditions, and guitar. 10. How can your fans interact with you online? And whats your fan mail address? Instagram: @macecoronel Twitter: @macecoronel https://www.youtube.com/macecoronel 11. Favorite sport: skateboarding Favorite music: All genres of music besides dubstep and electronic music. Favorite TV Show: I don’t really watch TV Travel destination: The world. Dream College: A film school 12. Now for my last question: What do you want to say to those who want to pursue their singing career? I don’t really have any advice for singers because I am an actor. But I would say in general no matter what you do in life. Be yourself be happy and and always have fun. Interview with Michael Brock

My tennis team has qualified for the Southern California Sectionals several times and have won it one time. 4. How do you prepare for a role? When I prepare for a role I read through the script a few times so I can understand the back story of the character. I really try to get into the mind of the character I am portraying. Once I feel like I have that down, I read through my lines several times so that I can memorize them. 5. Why and when did you decide to start you acting career? I started acting because of my older brother Alex. I had to ride around with him when he went to his auditions. I figured if I was going to the auditions I might as well try it too. Then I got hooked! 6. If you could travel the world with anyone whom would you take? I would travel the world with my mom. She spends so much time driving me to acting auditions and tennis she deserves to take some time to travel the world with me. Plus, she makes me laugh! 7. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? My biggest challenge as an actor is being able to cry on cue. It is difficult for me to do that and takes me a little bit of time to work up to the tears. 8. So many young actors are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I believe giving back is very important. I am an ambassador for the 501c organization called A Magic Penny. They work with many different organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Bureau, and Heal the Bay. They believe that one act of kindness can result in many acts of kindness. It is important to spread love through giving back to your community. As the ambassador I talk about A Magic Penny whenever I can and I volunteer with them at least once a month. 9. As a teen actor, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? It is hard to find a balance between schoolwork and my career. I am homeschooled so I am lucky that I have some flexibility in my school schedule. I spend a lot of time in my car going to auditions or tennis practice so I have learned to do school in the car whenever I can. 10. If you were not a teen actor, what would you be up to now? If I was not a teen actor I would probably be going to a tennis training academy either in Florida or Ojai, California. 11. If you have the chance to choose any other stars at your age to be your classmate, whom would you like to? It would be great fun to get to go to school with my best bud Jax Malcolm. We would probably drive the teachers crazy because we always have so much fun when we are together! 12. Have you ever taken acting classes before? And do you think acting classes are necessary for aspiring teen actors or actresses? I take acting classes every week. I think classes are important for aspiring teen actors or actresses because it is important to keep practicing and learning your craft. It is also important to see what other young actors are doing. 13. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? The best way for fans to interact with me online is through social media. I have a few accounts. My Instagram accounts are Butchthebullyofficialpage and Connordeanoffical. My Twitter account is @TheConnorDean. My Facebook account is @ConnorDean. I love to answer comments from my fans! 14. Favorite Sport: Tennis Favorite Music: 80’s music especially Billy Joel & Bon Jovi, but I also love Imagine Dragons. They are my new favorite right now. Travel Destination: London, England or anywhere in Italy Favorite TV Show: Big Bang Theory Dream College: Stanford or UCLA 15. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in Hollywood? Follow your dreams. If you work hard anything is possible! 1. What are the projects that you are currently working on? Please tell us a little about it.
I am in Australia right now and. My parents are working on a movie here so I’ll be on the Gold Coast until August, and then I head back to LA for the Annabelle premiere which I am super excited about! I just got a ukulele and I have been practicing new songs, learning to rock climb and surf. I have just started a YouTube channel and I’ll be posting silly videos of my Arctic Monkeys and TLSP covers on the piano and random uke tunes. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgruFyWdDJxd9R0IkRqNvog I hope to record a few of my own songs soon too. And I am about to shoot a horror short with these two young female first-time directors. That’s all I can say of my projects for now. 2. Please tell us what do you feel is your biggest achievement? I am only 11 and I feel like I have a ton to learn and that my biggest achievements are still ahead of me. But I am quite proud of my film debut in The Choice and my role in Annabelle: Creation. I also feel pretty happy with myself when I learn a new Arctic Monkeys song on the piano J 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? Definitely music! I am always listening to new songs, playing piano and learning the ukulele. I even need to have music on when I’m brushing my teeth. I love discovering new genres, bands and artists for myself. My Mom, Dad and my uncle Mick are always introducing me to new sounds too and it’s like a great adventure. I also love going to concerts. There is nothing like watching your favorite band live! I recently got to see Radiohead at the Santa Barbara Bowl and Sigur Ros at the LA Philharmonic and they both totally blew my mind.” We also have an organic garden back at home. I’m in charge of the milkweed flowers and look after the monarch butterly caterpillars we get a ton of. They are endangered these days and it’s super important to create safe habitats for them to grow. It not very difficult to do and it’s breathtaking to watch them grow and transform. 4. How do you prepare for a role? I always first start with creating my character’s back story to find out what makes her tick and act the way she does in the story. I go over all the information given in the screenplay and make up the rest, all of the events and people in the past that got my character to where she is. I love imagining things so I really like this part. Sometimes the audience doesn’t learn much about the past of a character, but it makes her real for me and I think it does for the audience too. It dictates how somebody behaves in the present and helps the reactions be authentic. 5. Why and when did you decide to start you acting career? I think it happened when I was 4 and I played a little part in my Mom’s music video. I was fascinated and knew I wanted to do more acting from then on. My Mom is a singer songwriter and my Dad is a film producer so from the earliest age I’ve been surrounded by the arts and creative people. My parents have taken me to movie sets all over the world, theaters and operas since I can only remember, so that probably had something to do with it too. 6. If you could travel the world with anyone whom would you take? Of course my parents but also my awesome uncle Mick, my Mom’s brother. He is the coolest person ever! They write music and play together but he also has his own band called Burn This Song and it is flippin’ INSANE!! Just check out his Black Betty cover on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOWTA43ThJg 7. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? I have been very lucky in working with amazing directors so far and in really incredible films. I got to work with brilliant casts and on beautiful sets. So the actual acting hasn’t been as big a challenge as parting with everybody at the end of the shoot. You become sort of a little family during the filming and it’s really tough when it’s all over. I have a great cast of five other girls with me in Annabelle: Creation and we are still very good friends and keep in touch. 8. So many young actresses are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I am closely involved with three organizations in the Los Angeles area and they all do such important work: Animal Tracks, who rehabilitate wildlife and educate the public through tours and animal visits; Project Angel Food, which brings food and love to those who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves and A Sense of Home – a project that essentially creates homes for youth who aged out of the foster system. We help build a sense of community around them. We show up on weekends with a truck full of furniture and get to work. It’s very hands on which I love and we tell stories, sing songs and bond afterwards. Please check them out and reach out if you would like to get involved! @animaltracksinc @projectangelfood @asenseofhomeorg 9. As a teen actress, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? I’m afraid I leave that part mostly to my parents. If it were up to me I would never do homework and spend all day on movie sets and playing the piano! Luckily they are very good at it and make me get all my school and family obligations taken care of before I can move on to anything else. 10. If you were not a teen actress, what would you be up to now? Definitely a musician and music lover. And a schoolgirl I guess, that part can’t be avoided for now.. 11. If you have the chance to choose any other stars at your age to be your classmate, whom would you like to? I would for sure pick Tayler Buck and Lulu Wilson because they are the nicest girls in the world! They are also my co-stars in Annabelle: Creation. We grew so close during the shoot and we still chat all the time! 12. Would you like to share a little bit about your role in ‘’Annabelle: Creation ’’? How would you describe her? I play Tierney, one of six orphan girls who come to live in a creeeepy old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere after their orphanage is shut down. The place is dark and strange, but we don’t have a choice so we try to make ourselves at home. Until we find a mysterious doll locked up in a closet and everything starts going terribly horribly wrong. Tierney is very young, but she has gone through much hardship already, so she is a thoughtful girl and loves her girlfriends. They stick together and are very loyal. Difficult childhood or not, my character loves to play, laugh and run around like any kid. She can also.. scream.. very loud! 13. As part of the film, what do you think the audience will be attracted and love about ‘’Annabelle: Creation’’? I know the audience is going to go crazy for this movie. It is so scary you’re going to be clenching your armrests till your fingers go numb. But the film also has a great story and really lovable characters. There is a dark flashback and you are going to be super scared to see it and dying for it to come, the best kind of suspense! David Sandberg really is a master of scares. We’d know what would happen in the scene when we’d start to film it, and we would still scream our heads of when it did. So much fun! 14. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? I just built my website with some help from my Mom and Mick. It’s been loads of fun and I’m really excited to share my adventures, projects and stories. Loulousafran.com instagram.com/loulousafran/ youtube: http://tinyurl.com/y7dn2ahn facebook.com/theloulousafran/ Lou Lou Safran c/o The Safran Company 9663 Santa Monica Blvd., #840 Beverly Hills, CA 90210 15. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in Hollywood? 1. Go for your dreams no matter what anybody says and be prepared to work very hard to make them happen. I know, it’s not very original but it’s the most important thing. 2. You can’t worry about what other people are going to think and say. 3. Don’t eat too much craft service, it’s so tough to resist ;P . 1. What are the projects you are currently working on?
Right now I'm on a break from my TV show Game Shakers. I've been auditioning here and there but for the most part I'm just enjoying the summer 2. Besides being a full-time TV actor, you have worked on some box office hits as well. What do you feel is the main difference between working on TV and movie? The biggest difference for me from tv and movies is on a movie is you get to play a different character each movie but on a tv show you play the same character the entire time 3. What do you feel is your biggest achievement so far? It hasn't happened yet but when it does I’ll let you know 4. Would you please tell us a little bit about your role in Transformers 5: The Last Knight and Pup Star 2? How would you describe your character in each film? My role in transformers is pretty awesome. I'm playing a bad kid with a group of his friends from school and we end up in a abandoned area with dead robots My transformers character and my pup star 2 character are so different from one another. That’s a big gap LoLJ. My pup star 2 character is very wise, tough, loyal, and strong, on the contrary, my transformers character is not wise, strong, and tough. My transformers character is not a fast thinker 5. When and why did you decide to pursue your acting career? I started to focus on my acting career when I was 7. The reason I did it was because it was fun I enjoyed playing someone with a totally different personality on screen. I did it for fun. 6. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? Besides acting. I'm passionate about my music and football to be honest 7. It has been 3 years since you were cast as a series regular in Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers. Would you like to share some embarrassing moments when filming the series with us? I'm a pretty stylish and smooth guy so i really don't get caught slipping. Haha!!! 8. How would you describe Triple G in Game Shakers? And how would you describe his relationship with his father and his fellows (Hudson, Babe, Kenzie and Double G)? I would say triple g is like me. He's cool smart and funny and stylish. My character on Game Shakers is maturing and I like that now his relationship with his dad can get a little crazy but no matter what triple g protects and loves his dad to the fullest. His relationship with the other Game Shakers is awesome. We all get along great and I enjoy being around my cast . 9. Who do you think on the show Game Shakers is the best friend with you? Obviously I'm going to have to say Hudson is my best friend on the show but we all are good friends off screen to. 10. You started off your career as a rapper. Do you think there’s any difference between a rapper (singer) and an actor? If so, how or how not? I don't think that there is a difference. Both are entertainment. You have to give it your all . 11. What is your favorite part about working on “ Game Shakers”? My favorite part about working on Game Shakers is that I get to do something different every day in every episode its something new. And seeing my friends 12. The Haunted Hathaways was canceled three years ago. What did you mostly miss about the show? I miss the cast the most from haunted hathaways and my funny jokes and costumes, and the stuffs we did . And the whole set. haha lol !!! Good times and memories. 13. So many young actors are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I don't really have a specific cause that I support. I just stand up for what I believe and for what is right. I try to teach that to a lot of my fans on my Instagram to standup for yourself and for what you believe in. All people should do that. 14. If you were not an actor, what would you be up to now? I don't like to say what I would be doing if I was not an actor because everything happens for a reason. And I'm very grateful with that! 15. As a teen, how do you strike the balance between your schoolwork and acting career? Well school and acting is not as hard as you think because we always have to do 5 hours of school on set so its not that difficult. 16. What was it like working with Isabela Moner in Transformers 5? Any interesting moments with her? I know Isabela Moner so I was just happy to be working with her outside of nickelodeon. We do have an interesting moment on and off set the whole cast started calling one another kumquat. I don’t know why but it’s just a little inside joke 17. How can your fans interact with you online? What is your fan mail address? My fans can talk to me on instagram @darealpnut. I'm always lit on there 18. How is your typical day when you’re not working? My typical day is pretty boring hahaJ! I just do some homework listen to music or I'm on Youtube watching Logan Paul. 19. Now for my last questions: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers as actors or actresses? I want to tell them to always follow their dreams and I know they hear it a lot but it’s the truth always believe in yourself and don't worry about the people that doubt you because sometimes people know how good you are and they want to stop you before you shine... Never let the left hand know what the right hand is doing (meaning work quietly) and I'm out (drops MIC) |
