Louis was born in Orlando, Florida and is the middle of three children. He has an older sister and a younger brother. Landing his first commercial at the age of 9, he has been in several commercials, short films, web projects and print ads. His big opportunity came when he landed the role of "Robbie Miller" which he played on all 4 seasons of the Nickelodeon show "Every Witch Way". 1. What are the projects that you are currently working on? Please tell us a little about it. I can’t really tell you about any projects due to Non-Disclosure Agreements. However, I did just finish “In Sanity, Florida” which also stars Burt Reynolds, so that was a fun time! I learned so much just from being in the same scenes as he was…his ability to improv is amazing. And he changes each take by doing little things with his character…it was crazy to watch. 2. Please tell us what do you feel is your biggest achievement? Just becoming an actor and my 4 seasons on Nickelodeon were both great achievements so far. It’s about the journey, not just about getting there, so I think that I become a better actor every day and look forward to what is next. 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? Video games, LOL! And I actually love to debate and want to be a lawyer like my mom. 4. How do you prepare for a role? Always study the script first, then examine your character to see what you can do to make it interesting to watch. Then I memorize my lines and recite the lines with “character” in my voice and in my actions. I have to be prepared to change the way I do anything in case the director asks for something different. 5. Why and when did you decide to start you acting career? I’ve always wanted to act as far back as I can remember. But I finally started when I was 8 by attending an acting camp given by Adrian R’Mante (Disney’s “Suite Life of Zack and Cody”). For 6 weeks we were trained by very talented actors in all aspects of the job, from improv to cold readings of scripts. After that camp, I got a manager and 1 month later booked my first national commercial. I booked Nickelodeon’s “Every Witch Way” when I was 10. 6. If you could travel the world with anyone whom would you take? Definitely my family…I have an older sister and a younger brother, and we would all love to go to Italy! 7. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? Well, for me, the biggest challenge is getting up early in the morning to do auditions or be on set! But if you are passionate about something, you do it anyway. 8. So many young actresses are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I am a huge supporter of No Kid Hungry (nokidhungry.org) that has a goal of ending child hunger. I have done charity signing events and even attended bake sales in order to help their cause. I am also very pro-law enforcement since my dad is a Sheriff’s Deputy. 9. As a teen actor, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? I am in virtual school because even when you have an acting job, you are required to go to school each day on the set. In this age of great technology, that allows me to continue acting while I maintain my school grades. My parents and even my sister are always there to help me and keep me on track. 10. If you were not a teen actor, what would you be up to now? Well I’d be a freshman in school with a goal of becoming either a lawyer or a biologist. 11. If you have the chance to choose any other stars at your age to be your classmate, whom would you like to? Michael Campion, Levi Miller, Soni Bringas, Landry Bender 12. According to your Instagram and Twitter post, it seems that you’re good friends with both Michael Campion and Soni Bringas. Would you like to describe your relationship with them and how you feel about them? Michael and I have been best friends since we were 10 years old when we booked a Publix Supermarket commercial together. We pretty much do everything together if we are in the same city at the same time! Since I’m in LA right now, we hang out a lot playing video games, seeing movies, or going to theme parks. I met Soni during the first season of Fuller House when I was on set with Michael. We became friends from day one and since she’s also a gamer, she plays video games with us all the time. It’s nice having friends who are in the acting business because they understand things that other kids will not really understand. Plus, they support you in whatever you do! 13. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? My Twitter is: @TheLouisTomeo My Instagram is: @louis_tomeo My Facebook page is: Louis Tomeo My fanmail address is: Louis Tomeo c/o Margot Menzel, Primary Wave 10850 Wilshire Blvd., #600 Los Angeles, CA 90024 I try to be responsive to all the fans that interact with me. It’s something I learned when I was on Every Witch Way. I wouldn’t be here without them, so I appreciate them. 14. Favorite Sport: Orlando City Soccer, I also like hockey (New York Rangers) and football (Alabama Crimson Tide). Favorite Music: right now I like “Eden Project” and of course 80’s rock like Journey and Def Leppard. Travel Destination: Los Angeles Favorite TV Show: Empire Dream College: University of Central Florida 15. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in Hollywood? Do not give up. In this business, you will hear 99 “no’s” for every 1 “yes”. Keep working on your skill and keep your eyes on your goal. And surround yourself with people you trust and that will support you. Never, ever, ever lose sight of what you want because being an actor can easily shut you down, but keep a balance. The moment you lose sight is the moment you start to give up. 1. What are the projects that you are currently working on? Please tell us a little about it. I’m in Disney’s brand new show "Andi Mack"! It’s really exciting because it’s one of Disney’s first ever serialized shows, and the twist in it is really breaking some barriers. My character’s name is Cyrus, and he is one of Andi’s two best friends. 2. Please tell us what do you feel is your biggest achievement? I’m very proud of my acting work of course, but over the last few years, once a week I’ve been able to have the privilege of going to schools around Los Angeles and in my own neighborhood, and reading to kids. Seeing the looks on their faces when I make the characters come to life lights my heart up, and it makes me feel like I’m really making a change in someone’s life. Even in the largest, most spread out metropolis in America, some kids still have no books at home, and it’s so important that kids learn about how exciting and fun it is to read! 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? I’m very passionate, as you can see, about my charity work, but alongside that, one of my biggest hobbies is to read and watch the news. I have some random 24-hour news channel on at almost all hours of the day! 4. How do you prepare for a role? I like to prep for an audition by coming up with backstories in my head about my character. What happened in the scene before this? Why is he so happy about this, and sad about that? Coming up with why my character would do something always leads to how I will act it. 5. Can you tell us a little bit about your role in Andi Mack? How would you describe Cyrus? Cyrus is one of Andi’s two best friends. He’s quirky, not athletic, and generally just a little awkward. He’s got a sense of humor that can make just about anyone laugh. Cyrus doesn’t fit in with anyone but Andi and Buffy…and he wouldn’t want to anyway. 6. How would you describe the relationship between Andi Mack and Cyrus? I think Andi and Cyrus are very close. Andi is the kind of friend who aways has your back, and Cyrus is the one you can tell anything to, which makes their interactions really fun. 7. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? Letting go is hard. To say something like “no, I can’t do that because I don’t have time” (which is always sad, but school comes before acting so I do have to turn things down sometimes!) is always tough. 8. So many young actors are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I work heavily with SAG’s organization, BookPals, and Read Across America, for reading like I spoke about earlier, but a cause that is very important to me aside from those is UNICEF and their “School In A Box” program. The School In A Box is a box that can give 40 kids an education for months in a country where, in the past, it would have been impossible to give kids the education they deserve. The School In The Box is a really incredible program, from an amazing organization like UNICEF, so I love being able to work with them. 9. As a teen actor, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? Priorities. School always takes priority one, then comes career. Acting will always be here for me, but a good education is something I can only get at this point in my life. 10. Do you, and your character Cyrus have anything in common? Cyrus’ dry sense of humor is something I love to draw comparisons to! I love a good sarcastic joke! 11. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? My fan mail address can be found at the bottom of my website, JoshuaRush.com. You can catch up on Instagram and Twitter (@JoshuaRush), facebook.com/JoshuaRushOfficial and persongoingfast.tumblr.com! 12. As part of the show, Andi Mack, what do you think the viewers would be attracted by it and love about the series? I think people are going to be really surprised by how real it is! People are going to love the natural feel the show has! 13. Favorite Sport: American football! My favorite team is the Texans! Favorite Music: I really like Alt-J. Their original album (An Awesome Wave) is one of a very small number of albums I’ve ever listened all the way through in one sitting. Travel Destination: TLV (Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel), because it means I’ll be seeing my family soon! Favorite TV Show: 30Rock! I’m on my third watch-through! Dream College: Yale, because Go Bulldogs! I want to get a political science degree, and an East Coast Ivy League school like Yale is a dream come true! 14. How is your typical day like when you’re not working? I’ll wake up, make some breakfast, do school, maybe take a bike ride, eat lunch, do more school, get bored of doing school, read the news, maybe go see a friend, watch the news, eat dinner, get ready for bed, watch a late-night show, go to sleep. It’s not nearly as exciting as most people think my life is! 15. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in Hollywood? It’s a great job and it’s really gratifying. But it is hard, and you can’t do it alone. Get a coach. Raw talent can be honed to acting prowess with a coach, and that’s what you need. Also, don’t expect to make it big right away. It takes years to get the formula right, and even then you still need a dash of luck to get everything right. I consider it 25/50/25 luck/skill/coach. You need all of them! Follow us on Twitter (@Teen_Insider) and Instagram (@teenweeklyinsider) for the latest news and interviews
I am currently just auditioning and waiting for the right role again. I just filmed for a show called Speechless staring Minnie Driver. That was an absolute blast.
My biggest achievement is probably being on Disney’s Stuck in the Middle movie. That was the first acting role I have seen of me on TV which was really cool.
I love to sing. I am currently learning how to play guitar. I also like to help people and volunteer. I have a list of charities I would like to help and work with aside from acting.
Thats a really tough question because I have been blessed with some amazing people in my life. I would defiantly bring my parents because of everything they do and we always have a blast when were together. I would also bring another very important person in my life, my best friend. I have known her since I was three and when I moved to LA she was probably one of the most supportive people in my life at that time. I never have a bad day when I am with her.
The biggest challenge I have is being confident with myself. Confidence is something I think most teens struggle with. I am slowly learning how to love who I am and know I am good at what I do. Right now the only thing holding me back is walking in the audition room with confidence. Since I have started acting I have gained confidence and of course I am still learning but thats a huge achievement for me.
I love working with charities. I think its a great way to do something that changes other people lives. Making other people smile, I think is the key to happiness and living a full life. Currently I am working on getting people to donate to a boy named Reilly Johnson. He has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and is on a ventilator. We have started a GoFund Me page and I have made a music video to raise money for his medical care.
As a teen actress who works and auditions a lot, it is hard to balance schoolwork. I homeschool which is a huge adjustment for me. I have gone to the same public school since Kindergarten. It was an adjustment leaving my friends but its worth it because I love acting so much. Its also hard because I don’t really have any teachers so I have to teach myself. I do a lot of my homework on the weekends or late at night.
now? I honestly can’t imagine myself not acting. I would probably be back at my town doing local plays and playing lacrosse and going to the local middle school.
Ok, so he’s not my age but he's hilarious and I like funny people. I would defiantly want to be in class with Johnny Depp. He's like the funniest person and I am obsessed with the roles he plays in the movies.
Yes! This was an amazing opportunity in my life. It was basically my first real acting job and it sure was a blast. The cast and crew were so nice and amazing. Especially the set teachers. We filmed at a waterpark which was amazing. I play the character of Hannah who is Ethan’s crush. It was a blast woking with people my age. My dream was to be on Disney and I have achieved that so now onto my new dream which is to be a Series Regular on any show.
I audition a lot so I rarely make it to my class. However when I do have the chance to go I do learn a lot and make some friends. I think its really fun to go play around with a script with other actors like you.
You can follow me on instagram (@katetomlinson ) I respond to comments on my instagram. My facebook is (katetomlinsonactress) and my snapchat is (kmtomlinson3). I do have a twitter however I rarely use it.
All I can say is follow your dreams and if you love it more than anything it will happen for you. You have to be confident and you have to have persistence because it can be hard. You can do it if you just believe you can. Follow us on Twitter (@Teen_Insider) and Instagram (@teenweeklyinsider) Note: Happy to announce that we're going to launch the first digital issue in April. I’m currently waiting to hear about a season two of Ride, which would be great as many fans are hoping for it! I have a couple of things I’m waiting on but at the moment I’m really working on my singing, I’ve been recording recently but its still early stages! 2. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest achievement? I feel very lucky to have worked on some great projects with some great people, so for me these are great achievements, although I would say my biggest achievement so far is winning the Rising Star award at last years London Short Film Festival 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? I’m really passionate about healthy living, I gym everyday as I feel this is good for not only the body but the mind too! 4. How do you prepare for a role? For me I try and look at what has shaped the character in their past, I look for reasons as to why they behave the way they do, basically the more you know about them the better you can play them. This means when I’m filming it needs to be second nature to respond to a situation the way my character would and not the way I would. 5. Tell us about your role in the show, ‘’ Ride’’? I play Elaine, who is a slightly misunderstood but focused young girl, she can come across a little harsh but she means well. She won't let anyone get in the way of her dreams! I think she's awesome! 6. Why and when did you decide to pursue your acting career? I have always loved performing, I've been dancing since the age of 3, I loved putting on plays with my friends so it was really something I've always wanted to do. I started though by doing stills, so modeling when I was 9 which progressed to TV commercial and on to short films and I guess from there it was a natural progression to where I am today. 7. If you could travel the world with anyone whom would you take? Definitely my dogs! They never judge me and are great listeners! 8. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? I think my biggest challenge is booking a role, there are so many talented actresses of my age, or my playing age so competition is fierce. 9. As a teen actress, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? I am super lucky my parents are so supportive, so when getting that balance got tough they took me out of the school system and taught me for home, which meant i could shoot during the day and do school work in the evening, having said that i have successful friends who continued at school, I think its just learning not to prioritize one over the other, as they are both equally important! 10. If you were not a teen actress, what would you be up to now? That’s a tough one because its all I’ve wanted to do! I do really love makeup though, so maybe if i couldn’t work in front of the camera then id love to do hair and makeup on set. 11. How can your fans interact with you online? And what's your fan mail address? I use Instagram and Snapchat the most, I always try and answer as many messages as possible! I also have Twitter, which I’m trying to use more often! My Instagram is alanaboden and my snapchat is the same! My twitter is alana_boden. 12. Favorite Music: I don’t have any favourite music, I think what i listen to really depends on my mood! Favorite Sports: Hockey Travel Destination: Bali Favorite TV Show: Walking Dead or Scream 13. At final, what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their acting careers? Go for it! It’s a lot of hard work and rejection but the highs are definitely worth the lows, for me, being in front of the camera is the best feeling in the world! He was thrilled to work on the new Fuller House (2016) as "Jackson Fuller". He previously worked on Christmas Trade (2015), with Billy Baldwin and Denise Richards. He also starred in the feature films, Robo-Dog (2015) and Robo-Dog: Airborne (2017), and has been featured in numerous Local and National commercials. Michael also loves the theater and has performed with Magic Curtain Productions in "The Wizard of Oz", "Annie" and "The Little Mermaid", just to name a few. When he isn't working on becoming an actor, he enjoys water sports, video games, performing magic tricks and hanging with friends. Michaels lives in Florida, with his parents, where he also visits all of the Theme Parks. Photo credit to Melissa Coulier 1. What are the projects that you are currently working on? Please tell us a little about it. Right now I am working on season 3 for Fuller House. Season 3 for Fuller House is planned to release in this summer. 2. Please tell us what do you feel is your biggest achievement? Definitely it would be playing Jackson Fuller in Fuller House. 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? Well, besides that, I am also passionate about doing commercials, which is interesting as well. 4. How do you prepare for a role? I’ll look at the lines, making myself familiar with the character and getting myself into his shoes. Also, I will rehearse before getting officially on set. 5. Can you tell us a little bit about your role in Fuller House? How would you describe Jackson Fuller? He is clumsy, usually doing some dumb things like setting off the sprinkler system. Also, he has a big crush on Lola. 6. Why and when did you decide to start you acting career? I start acting at the age of 5, and when I was 8, I got an opportunity to perform in ‘’ The Wizard of Oz’’, ‘’ Annie’’, and ‘’ The Little Mermaid’’. I really enjoy acting, and I basically can’t live without it. 7. Can you please tell us a little about your role in Robo-Dog: Airborne? And what do you think the viewers will be attracted and love about the series? Sure. In this movie, Robo Dog will lose his memory and get lost after an accident happens. And Tyler will scour the tour with Barry in search of their robotic best friends. In my opinion, its family elements, which the whole family could sit down and enjoy the film together will definitely attract the viewers. It is a good family movie. (Note: Robo-Dog: Airborne is now available in Amazon.) 8. As a teen actor, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? I go to virtual school, creating my own schedule. I believe school is also important as well. When I am not on set, I will do schoolwork and hang out with friends. 9. Could you please share a little about what would happen in season 3 for Fuller House? Well, I didn’t really receive any information from the cast regarding that, but I guess that Kimmy and Fernando will move out in this season, as their relationship became better than season 1. 10. Do you, and your character Jackson Fuller have anything in common? We’re both clumsy. (Note: And they're both handsome, according to what some girls said.) 11. How would you describe the relationship between your character, Jackson Fuller, and his mom? Well, Jackson loves his mom so much, and he always wants to make her happy, but usually ended up getting her so mad. And his mom love he so much, too. 12. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? Instagram: Michael Campion (the one with verification badge) Twitter: Michael Campion Fan Mail Address: You could see it on my Instagram page 13. Tenzing Norgay Trainor From Disney hit '' Liv and Maddie'' talks about his passion for acting3/12/2017 Tenzing Norgay Trainor is best known for his role Parker Rooney on Disney hit '' Liv and Maddie''. He is the grandson of Tenzing Norgay, who first reached Mount Everest in 1953. 1. In addition to “ Liv and Maddie”, what are the projects that you are currently working on? Right now I am going to high school after working four years straight. I have a couple things I am working on, but they have not been announced yet so I cannot say anything. 2. Please tell us what do you feel is your biggest achievement? I do not know. I was very lucky to book Liv and Maddie. It was a fun show to work on for so long. I did just learn to snowboard, that’s big. 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? I am passionate about my iPhone, soccer, and Saturdays where I do not have to do anything. 4. It’s really sad to see ‘’ Liv and Maddie’’ end after four outstanding seasons. Can we expect a spin-off show on that? Asked Disney Channel. 5. How much of Parker Rooney is actually you? How much of a character are you playing? A lot of me is in Parker Rooney. I would say about 95.2%. When we first shot the pilot years ago the writers sat with each of us to find out what we were like, what we were good at, and stuff. They wrote a lot of that into our characters. 6. Why and when did you decide to start your acting career? I have some free time so… I guess I kind of fell into it. My parents put me in a theater camp when I still lived in Florida. When we moved back to Los Angeles we went ahead and got a headshot and send it to agents just because. I landed in agent and audition started happening. I then got lucky and booked a few jobs. 7. Do you have any future plans after finishing season 4 for Liv and Maddie? Right now I am just having a good time going to high school and being with friends. In acting, you never know what’s right around the corner. 8. What are you going to miss about Liv and Maddie when it ends? Liv and Maddie actually already ended last summer for me. That is when we finish shooting the last season. Everything that is being aired now was shot last year. What I miss most is the people. We had a great cast and crew and everyone was very close. 9. Opinion on Dove Cameron? She is very talented and works hard. 10. What is it like playing Parker Rooney on the show Liv and Maddie? It was probably the most fun I have ever had. Parker really grew up on the show. I spent my entire middle school years working on the show. 11. What’s your favorite scene on Liv and Maddie? I honestly cannot pick a favorite scene. The first episode we ever shot had a refrigerator coming down the kitchen stairs. That was pretty cool. They got that in one take. It was also fun getting splattered with cake, pelted with meatballs, and having spaghetti with sauce splattered on me. I also liked flying out of the wall when coming out of the Parker tunnels in the Wisconsin house. 12. What is it like working with Joey Bragg? Working with Joey was the most fun of the entire show. Joey and I really had a great time together working on the show. He is one of the funniest people I have ever met and very quick witted. 13. So many young celebrities are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I am active in my family’s foundation which is called the Tenzing Norgay Sherpa Foundation. We were able to raise over $153,000 after the earthquake in Nepal. We use that to rebuild several entire villages outside of Kathmandu up in the mountains where my grandparents came from. We also set up medical clinics in remote areas of Nepal and send 10 orphaned kids to college in India. I also go to as many charitable events in Los Angeles as I am able to make when I am invited to attend. 14. As a teen actor, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and acting career? My parents always put schoolwork first. Whenever the show was on hiatus I would go back into regular school so that I could maintain a connection with my friends where I live. That is why it was so easy to go back to regular school when the show ended. I still had all my local friends and I was still close to them. 15. If you have the chance to choose any other stars at your age to be your classmate, whom would you like to? Amarr Wooten and Chloe East. They recur on season four and we became very good friends. We had onset school together which was great. 16. If you were not a teen actor, what would you be up to now? I would be up to what I am up to now. I would be going to school, playing soccer, and having a good time with my friends. 17. Favorite Sport: soccer Favorite Music: wrap and hip/hop Travel Destination: Florida Favorite TV Show: The Flash Dream College: UC Santa Barbara 18. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? Insta: tenzingt4 Twitter: tenzingtrainor I do not really have a fan mail address. 19. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? Making sure it remains fun and does not become all business. 20. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in Hollywood? Never give up and never do it because you want to be famous. Do it because you love the work. Evan is smart, a little nerdy, he's definitely the "mommy's boy," and he's pretty vengeful. 3. Why and when did you decide to start your acting career? So, I didn't really dream about becoming an actor, I guess the "acting bug" just bit me. My mom got an e-mail regarding an open casting call for a commercial. As part of the show, Fresh Off The Boat, what do you think the viewers would be attracted by it and love about the series? First of all FOTB is extremely funny. But also, you have to remember: this is the first network television show with a full-Asian American cast in 20 years! It is very important that people of ALL colors get a chance to pursue their dreams. 7. Favorite Sport: Swimming Favorite Music: Anything that's on the radio and isn't "overrated" Travel Destination: London or Sydney Favorite TV Show: FOTB Dream College: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University 8. How is your typical day like when you’re not working? It really depends. If it's a school day, I go to school. If it's not a school day, I do what we call "Mom-Work" and play a few games ( swimming, video games, and play with my friend). Chloe's love for performing began when she was 2 years old. Hers was always the first hand up at Disneyland when volunteers were needed on stage. A friend suggested she join a local theater group and that was the beginning of Chloe's acting and singing career. Her first performance was part of the ensemble cast in "The Sound of Music," and she went on to perform as Molly in the musical "Annie" with two local theater groups, and again professionally at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in the Los Angeles area. She won an "Excellence in Acting" award for her performance as Molly. She enjoys singing karaoke, and she competed and became the youngest finalist in the Los Angeles Karaokefest Competition two years in a row at the Los Angeles County Fair. Chloe filmed several television commercials for Kool-Aid, Target, Quaker Oats, and Philadelphia Cream Cheese. After signing with ESI Network Management Company, she secured a theatrical agent, Greene and Associates. She auditioned and signed with HBO as a co-star in the network's top rated series, "True Blood." She has filmed 3 seasons and enjoyed attending the Red Carpet Event for the show's season premieres in Hollywood. She had a great time meeting fans of the series, signing autographs and doing interviews. In 2012, Chloe was cast as a series regular at Warner Bothers for the pilot of a new TV series, "Prodigy Bully." She enjoyed working with the producers, directors and cast, and the experience gave her the opportunity to learn more about the technical aspects of television production. Chloe has also done several short films, and in building her body of work, she consistently receives compliments for her professionalism on the set. Trying something different, Chloe played the part of an audience "heckler" in the Comedy Central series "CC:Stand-Up." She performed stand up comedy on stage for two shows before a live audience at The Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. The show was taped for the TV and DVD Special "Kristen Schaal: Live At The Fillmore." (January 2014) Currently, Chloe can be seen weekly on "Fox 5 San Diego Morning News" in her "Kids Korner" segment. She reports on Pop Culture from a kid's point of view. Chloe is quick-witted, has a great sense of humor, and a keen eye for observation. She relates very well with adults, and while she is a natural leader, she easily relates to kids both younger and older. She is a compassionate and caring individual, often called wise beyond her years. Chloe is a straight A student and is in the 9th grade. She enjoys performing, being a Girl Scout, reading, playing video games, and swimming and ice skating. 1. What can you share about what's happening with your career right now? Please tell us a little about it. Well, I was just nominated for a Young Artist Award and a Young Entertainer Award for my role in New Girl! I am so excited because it was such a fun role to play with such an amazing cast and crew! Also I have never been to an award show but have watched them on TV so I am so excited to attend. Also it is pilot season so there are lots of auditions to prepare for. It's a busy time but one of the best times of the year for an actor! 2. Please tell us what do you feel is your biggest achievement? I feel my biggest achievement was my role on True Blood. It was such a challenging role especially because I was so young. It was a lot of emotional scenes with a lot of crying on cue. It was really hard but it was a great learning experience that has helped me throughout my entire career! Another big achievement is just overcoming all the rejection you face as an actor. You give so much in your auditions and then never hear anything back. Then you have to get up the next day and do it all over again. 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? I really enjoy drawing and learning about animation. I would love to create my own animated show one day! I also love to ice skate. 4. How do you prepare for a role? Once I get a script my mom and I start breaking down the character. We talk about what the character wants in the scene and how they will achieve it. Then we fill in all the blanks about the character using clues from the script or making up our own. That way I have a complete character. 5. Why and when did you decide to start you acting career? My mom said I was a performer since I was a baby! Whenever there was a chance to volunteer for something in front of people I was there! I started with theater at the age of 5 in a very small role in the Sound of Music. Then at age 6 I got my first major role as Molly in Annie. I won a theater award for that performance! I played Molly again in a professional theater where a friend's manager came to the show and said I should try acting in movies and tv! 6. If you could travel the world with anyone whom would you take? Well I just went to Japan with my mom and grandparents! It was the most amazing time! I love it there and can't wait to go back. I would like to travel the world with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey because I think they are both so funny and it would be cool to see the world through their eyes! 7. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? I think its dealing with the rejection. Its different from participating in a sport where the fastest running wins or the team with the most goals wins. Acting is different, there are so many other factors. You may be the best actor but you don’t match the family or your other castmates. Or you are too tall or not tall enough. There is never a clear reason why you don’t book a role and that can be challenging. You also give so much of yourself in an audition and work so hard for just a few minutes in the audition room and then most of the time you never hear anything. 8. So many young actresses are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I try to always being involved in volunteering in three areas; the environment, people, and animals. I am a Ambassador for Heal the Bay, a organization that promotes ocean and beach protection. I also volunteer with Best Friends LA, a no kill shelter, helping cats and dogs. I volunteer monthly packing lunches for the homeless. I try to volunteer with senior citizens when I can, serving lunch and playing bingo. I recently participated in Random Acts of Kindness week, and challenged myself and others to do little things for others. 9. As a teen actress, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? Well I am very lucky that I am homeschooled. I am able to work on school anywhere. This sounds like it would be super easy but it means working on school work in the car and at nights and weekends. It is actually more challenging than being at a traditional school everyday but it allows me to have the time to focus on my acting career. 10. If you were not a teen actress, what would you be up to now? I just can't imagine what I would do if I didn’t pursue acting. I think I would focus on ice skating or art more. 11. If you have the chance to choose any other stars at your age to be your classmate, whom would you like to? The kids from STRANGER THINGS!! They seem like they have so much fun together! It may be hard to focus on schoolwork but I bet it would be awesome! 12. Have you ever taken acting classes before? And do you think acting classes are necessary for aspiring teen actors or actresses? Yes! I have taken acting classes ever since I started acting professionally. I am currently taking acting classes now at Gray Studios. Acting classes are so important for keeping you on your toes. Plus you can try out new things in class that you may not want to do in an audition. Acting class can be a way for you to push yourself and really fine tune your skills. I think a good acting class can be so helpful for actors starting out and can show you what to expect in auditions. 13. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? You can reach me on Facebook at Chloe Noelle. Or on Twitter and Instagram @ChloeNoelle910. You can also check out my website www.chloe-noelle.com. I also have a YouTube Channel ChloeIRL! 14. Favorite Sport: Ice Skating Favorite Music: Musical Theater Soundtracks Travel Destination: Japan Favorite TV Show: Bob's Burgers Dream College: UCLA or CAL ARTS 15. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in Hollywood? Develop a thick skin and NEVER give up! Rejection can be tough but its usually not your fault if you didn’t book the job. Work hard and never give up because you never know what audition is just ahead! Also do it because you love it not because you want to be famous because that doesn’t happen right away! When they explained to him that he would need an agent, he asked if they could "buy one," not knowing the true meaning. Shortly after, Jax's request came true when he got this agent and landed his first role in a Smart Power PSA. Now 12 years old (2015), Jax's career has only continued to soar. The young actor has worked with Comedy Central and IFC with credits including the "Kroll Show" (2013), "Comedy Bang Bang!" (2012), "The Birthday Boys" (2013) and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (2015). His most recent bookings include Taco Bell and the new FOX thriller, "The Other Side of the Door" (2016). And acting is not the only thing on Jax's radar. Jax is due to put out his own Christmas album later this year (2015) - a fun and festive cross between cover songs and original music. The biggest influence for this album was Jax's music teacher, Jan Linder-Koda, who helped write a couple of the original songs. His goal is to be able to make music that he truly loves and to eventually tour. In addition to performing, Jax loves fashion and just recently walked in LA Fashion Week in the Nancy Vuu 2015 show. He describes his style as fun and urban with a twist of humor. He always likes to make a statement with his fashion choices. His favorite brands include Nike, Sean John, Guess, Adidas, Speedo and TYR. Wise beyond his years, Jax already understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle, as he is a competitive swimmer and a Junior Olympian / Championship team member. He advocates for health and wellness through exercise and sport participation, a message that is extremely important for other kids and teens. School is also of great importance to Jax - he is a dedicated scholar who made Honor Roll with High Honors Achievement, and was one of eight students in his middle school to be awarded with the Leadership Medal for outstanding service to his school and community. Jax is a civic-minded 7th grader who served on his school's student council as Vice President. Jax feels strongly about and is a Junior Ambassador for Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Having had kidney operations at a young age, in addition to having food allergies and asthma, he loves knowing that is there is a great place for children to receive great treatment. He is honored to be able to give back to them. Finally, Jax is an award-winning artist and has won numerous blue ribbons as well as the Overall Sweepstakes Rosette honors at the LA County Fair's America's Kids Art Exhibitions. He is also an aspiring chef and has just completed his first cooking classes with Chef Eric Crowley. With these many talents and ambitions, Jax Malcolm is absolutely one-to-watch. Jax currently resides in Los Angeles with his parents.
I’m really excited to share with your readers that I was just nominated for my work on the FOX thriller The Other Side of the Door by both the Young Artists Awards and the Young Entertainers Awards. It’s a big honor to be recognized for my Voice Over work!
I am an ambassador and speaker for CHLA. This past year I held my first ever #ActionJax Movie Morning Fundraiser benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to use my network of industry friends, brands that I love, and companies who support me with great success. I was able to raise over $2,000 for the hospital. I would definitely call this one of my biggest achievements! I’m looking forward to the 2nd Annual #ActionJax Movie Morning Fundraiser October 7, 2017! 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? I am really passionate about my sports. I’m a competitive swimmer and archer. I’ve qualified for the Junior Olympics and am a championship team member of my swim team. If I’m not working or at an audition you will find me doing laps at the pool, or shooting at the archery range! 4. How do you prepare for a role? I always start with research and character development. It’s really important for me to come from a place of honesty and understanding in my work. Then comes memorizing my lines and tweaking my performance. 5. Why and when did you decide to start your acting career? It all started when I was 5. I was watching tv one night and was amazed by the kids on tv. I asked my parents why I wasn’t one of them. From there I got an agent and a manager and booked my first commercial a PSA for Smart Power within a couple of months. I love not just working but also the process of auditioning and working with casting directors. 6. If you could travel the world with anyone whom would you take? I would travel with my whole family including my parents, grandparents, cousin’s, everyone! My family are seriously the most fun people to take anywhere because they always make me laugh! 7. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? For me personally my biggest challenge is my learning disability. I have an auditory processing disorder, (similar to dyslexia), it makes reading and memorizing very hard for me. As an example it may take other actors my age an hour to memorize a script it can take me 4-5 hours. I don’t believe in letting any challenge stand in my way! 8. So many young actors are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? As I mentioned before I am an ambassador and speaker for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I get the opportunity to share my patient story with various supporters of the hospital, raise money and even speak at press conferences. This past year I was able to share beach safety tips at a press conference because I am certified LA County Junior Lifeguard. I am also honored to be a founding member of Heal the Bay’s Hollywood Ambassador Board. Working with Heal the Bay allows me to spread the message of keeping our beaches and water ways clean to preserve them for future generations. As well as attend events at Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium where I get to the opportunity to influence other kids when it comes to keeping our beaches clean! 9. As a teen actor, how do you strike the balance between schoolwork and your career? I have a lot of help! I have a terrific team behind me for my career, and my parents always help keep me on task whether it’s getting to school on time, making it to practice or running lines. I would not be able to any of the things I do without their support. 10. If you were not a teen actor, what would you be up to now? I would be doing many of the same things I do now. I’m a competitive swimmer. I’ve competed in the Junior Olympics. Competing at such a high level requires at least 2 hours a day at practice plus swim meets on the weekends. I do miss a fair amount of meets because I am an actor so I would probably never miss a meet I am also in a Junior Olympic Archery Development program and work privately with a coach to help prepare for archery competition. 11. If you have the chance to choose any other stars at your age to be your classmate, whom would you like to? I would of course choose my best friend Chloe Noelle! It would be so much fun to get to go to school together and see each other everyday! 12. Have you ever taken acting classes before? And do you think acting classes are necessary for aspiring teen actors or actresses? I have been taking class since I was 5 years old. I think it is an important part of the process to learn what you need to do, and the kind of commitment it takes to be an actor. 13. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? There are plenty of ways to reach me: Instagram: @thejaxmalcolm Twitter: @thejaxmalcolm Facebook: JaxMalcolm Fan Mail Can be addressed to: Jax Malcolm C/O Craig Robinson Attorney at Law Bien & Robinson A Prof Law Corp 16950 Sherman Way Van Nuys Ca 91406 14. I would encourage other kids to take some classes and see how they like it. Working means auditioning and auditioning takes a lot of practice! If they find they like the classes I definitely say go for it and live your dream! She will reprise this role in the third chapter of the franchise alongside Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove, and Trey Parker. Dana’s live action work includes a supporting role in the recently-wrapped indie horror feature, The Ice Cream Truck, which will be released in summer of 2017. Photo Courtesy of Kenneth Dolin 1. What are the projects that you are currently working on? Please tell us a little about it. I am currently working on Despicable Me 3, which is set to release this summer. Gru and the girls are back for the third installment of the franchise and it’s going to be filled with action, love, and a lot of laughs. I also worked on an indie movie this summer called The Ice Cream Truck, which will be released either in late Summer or Fall. I have a small, but important role and it was really fun and different to act in an onscreen film. 2. Please tell us what do you feel is your biggest achievement? I would have to say that my biggest achievement was getting into UCLA. I worked really hard in school and UCLA had been a dream of mine since I was younger. I was so excited when I found out that I was accepted. 3. Besides acting, what are you passionate about? I am extremely passionate about singing and playing guitar. There’s nothing better than when I have the free time and the inspiration to sit down and write a song. It’s a great way to express myself and I love music. I’m also really passionate about learning. Whether it’s academically or artistically, I feel that you can never stop learning and you should use every opportunity you have to learn something valuable. 4. How do you prepare for a role? I like to relate scenes to my own circumstances that may be similar. I feel if I can make any slight connection between a role and my life it makes my acting feel so much more genuine. 5. Why and when did you decide to start you acting career? I’ve always loved singing and performing since I was a young girl. When my older sister was young she was involved in community theater shows and I thought that was really cool so I decided to get involved too. My sister was also in the industry before I was and the opportunity to audition for a commercial she was auditioning or came up for me. I was really excited to get in front of casting directors. 6. If you could travel the world with anyone whom would you take? It would probably be my sister Jillian. She’s been my role model for as long as I can remember. She’s two years older than me and a Senior at the University of Texas at Austin. Whenever we go somewhere together we always have a good time. I think she’d be an awesome person to see the world with. 7. Despicable Me 3 is about to be released this Summer. Could you please tell us what would happen in the movie? This movie is definitely a lot of fun and if you liked the first two you’ll love this one as well. There are some new characters added that will add to the fun including Gru’s twin brother Dru and a villain who seems to be caught in the 80’s. Trey Parker, one of the creators of South Park, joined the cast too, which is awesome! 8. As part of the movie, could you please tell us what do you think the audience will be attracted and love about the series? I really think that there’s something for everyone in the series. You have silly humor, adult humor, a little bit of drama and everything in between. It’s easy to fall in love with Gru and the girls. 9. So many young actresses are committed to public service, setting a great example for their peers in terms of being involved with charities and the community. What causes are important to you, and what do you do to support them? I have always loved volunteering and getting involved in community service. My family is a big supporter of MEND—Meet Each Need with Dignity—an organization in Los Angeles that strives to end poverty. Also, being apart of my sorority has given me the opportunity to help raise money for Girls on the Run, which is an organization that aims to empower young girls. 10. Please tell us what do you feel is the biggest challenge in your acting career? I think the biggest challenge would be the fact that when I do voiceover, I am creating the interaction all on my own. You record by yourself in the booth, so the emotions kind of have to be manifested out of thin air as opposed to having someone to react to. I think it’s made me a better actress overall and I’m really grateful for the challenge. 11. How can your fans interact with you online? And what’s your fan mail address? I love instagram and I think twitter is a great way to tell people what you’re up to. Both my instagram and twitter handles are @danagaier and fan mail can be sent to [email protected], Abrams Artists Agency, or the Green Room Management. 12. Favorite Sport: Lacrosse Favorite Music: Billy Joel Travel Destination: Hawaii Favorite TV Show: Friends 13. Do you, and your character Edith have anything in common? I think that we both kind of have a girly and tough side to us. I love that Edith wears pink, which is considered to be really feminine, but her style is more that of a tomboy so she has an edge to her. 14. Now for my last question: what do you want to say to those who wish to pursue their careers in Hollywood? I don’t think people realize how much rejection there is in this industry. You’ll be told no a million times before you are told yes and that’s just part of the job. The important part is to remember why you wanted to get involved in acting in the first place. If you keep sight of that, you’ll never lose faith. Follow Teens Weekly Insider on Twitter (@Teen_Insider) and Instagram (@teenweeklyinsider) |
